Our Audit Work Includes:
Testing to make sure that eligible employees are participating or at least have been offered to participate in the plan.
Testing to make sure that participant wishes as to participation are occurring (amount of elective deferral coming from paycheck and investment allocation of such deferral).
Testing to make sure that matching contributions (when applicable) are properly calculated and made.
Testing to make sure that employer profit sharing contributions (when applicable) are properly allocated and deposited.
Testing to make sure that contributions are timely deposited.
Testing to make sure that investment returns are proper and match published returns for such investments.
Testing to make sure that distributions to participants are proper and appropriate taxes are withheld.
Review of tax filings (form 5500) for reasonableness and accuracy.
Review of internal controls not only at the sponsor employer company but also at the custodian of assets.
