Individual Retirement Accounts – IRAs

ROTH IRA:

"What about minimum distributions for ROTH IRAs?"

Another beauty of ROTH IRAs is that the minimum distributions rules do not apply. Accordingly Granddaddy Big Bucks, even after age 70 and ½ does not need to make withdrawals from his ROTH. Granddaddy Big Bucks can look at his ROTH as his last dollars to spend. Why you may ask? Because while those dollars are in that account, they grow permanently free of tax. If Granddaddy Big Bucks dies with his ROTH and never took a dime out of it there is no problem.
