• Education and training – John has an undergraduate accounting degree from Boston University (magna cum laude), a Masters of Science in Taxation from Bentley College, and holds a Certified Financial Planner designation. 

• Years of experience – John graduated from Boston University in 1978 and has been a practicing CPA in Massachusetts ever since. That is 31 years of experience. From large multinational accounting firm experience (Arthur Andersen) to having his own boutique accounting firm, John’s experience speaks for itself. In addition to John, the others on the office have average over 25 years of experience each.

• It is our focus – Tax planning and preparation for small businesses and individuals represents the bulk of our work. It is what we like to do, and what we excel at. 

• Reasonable fees- If you compare the level of service and experience that we offer you will see that our fees are very reasonable and most often less than that of larger firms. We can do that because our costs are less. We run a lean operation without fancy downtown rent and the lower cost structure is reflected in our fees. Don’t compare us to H & R Block and the likes; they provide a good service to many people just like ten year old Ford Escorts provide basic transportation. We like to use email rather than spend hours playing phone tag with expensive support staff - but if you ever want to talk - John can talk with the best of them!

• Attention to detail and client service – We go out of our way to assure the accuracy of our work and make it our business to respond to client needs. We try to respond to client emails within 24 hours and we focus on getting work turned around and out to clients in short order while still doing a complete and accurate job.
